About FaceSift

Last updated: 04.11.2026

FaceSift is a reverse face search tool. You upload a photo of a face, and it shows web pages where similar faces appear. This page explains who runs it and how it works.

Who runs FaceSift

FaceSift is an independent service, built and operated by its founder.

Questions, feedback and support requests go to facesift@gmail.com. See the Contact page for what to include.

How FaceSift works

  • Live search costs $1. You pay once per search in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. There is no subscription.
  • Live searches run on the FaceCheck.ID API. FaceSift sends your photo to FaceCheck.ID and shows the results it returns.
  • Demo mode is free and is not a real search. It shows a set of sample results so you can see how the results page looks. Your photo isn't searched.
  • Results are possible matches, not proof of identity. Each result has a similarity score. A high score means the faces look alike. It doesn't confirm that the person in a result is the person in your photo, so check the source page before you draw any conclusion.
  • FaceSift keeps no face index of its own.Every Live result comes from FaceCheck.ID. FaceSift doesn't store uploaded photos or search results on its servers.
  • Lenso.ai is a separate alternative. The /lenso page embeds Lenso.ai's own search widget. Searches there go straight to Lenso.ai, not through FaceSift.

Your data and your rights

  • Found your own face in the results? The Removal Request page shows how to remove it from FaceCheck.ID and Lenso.ai.
  • The Privacy Policy lists the data FaceSift keeps and how long it keeps it.
  • The Terms of Use set out the rules for using FaceSift, including payments and refunds.
